    Hi Steve – Superb find.

    After a bit of googling I think it is a replica annointing spoon as Ladyluck mentioned. The date stamp appears to be for 1910 which ties in nicely with it being the year that King George V was crowned so it may have been a piece of memorabelia bought by or for some one to commemorate the coronation.

    I think the maker’s mark is for James Dudley (JD in a shield) and it looks like it was assayed in Sheffield from the Lion and Crown marks.
